Hey, I’m Ceri!

I’m an interdisciplinary writer, artist, and science communicator. I help people think critically about storytelling and educational media, especially on the internet.

Currently, I cohost the podcast SciShow Tangents and I’m the editorial assistant for the Eisner and Hugo award-winning comic Monstress. My day job is at MIT Admissions.

I was included in the 2024 Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Education, which was both an honor and a surprise because my not-really-a-campaign started as a goof.

Throughout my career, I’ve developed digital children’s games with GBH and YouTube series with Crash Course and Study Hall, managed teams of 2–3 staff and 20–30 contractors, and edited hundreds of educational scripts for clarity, tone, and accuracy.

I like beagles, rain, cartoons, and green tea. Boston (the unceded territory of the Nipmuc nation) is my home base right now. I’m half Malaysian Chinese. I’m queer. I use she/her pronouns.
